8 percent increase in Chinese Fujian GDP

Provincial governor of Fujian, Tang Dengjie, said that the gross domestic product (GDP) in Fujian province of China has increased 8 percent in the earlier year 2019 to set at USD478 billion.

The official said in his government work report given on Saturday at the yearly session of the provincial people's congress that the value-added production of strategic emerging sectors in the province increased 25 percent to set at USD78.04 billion in the earlier year.

The province has increased its efforts in innovative and high-quality development, having 4500 firms listed as high-tech companies.

Manufacturing sector saw a rise of 15.7 percent in investments in 2019, and newly-introduced tax and fee cuts in the year made up more than 8.67 billion.
