Afghanistan- Afghan U19 Cricketers Bound for ICC World Cup in South Africa


(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) KABUL - Afghanistan's U19 cricket team left Kabul on Wednesday to take part in the Under-19 ICC Cricket World Cup in South Africa.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) tournament has contestants from 16 national under-19 teams.
The tournament is scheduled from January 17 to February 9 and 48 ODI matches will be played.
Afghan players are in group D and will face the host country on January 17.
The Afghan team will also play Canada and UAE.
Afghan players are expected to play four friendly matches and a training match with host South Africa's U19 cricket team.
At the moment India's U19 cricket holds the World Cup title. (TOLO NEWS)
