(MENAFN) Moroccan security forces have managed to detain one suspect over his alleged connections with the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization.
The suspect was rounded up on Saturday in the central city of Meknes. He was allegedly plotting to conduct a suicide bombing attack, the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation, Morocco's intelligence bureau, affirmed in a statement.
It added that police also managed to confiscate electronic devices and documents on products linked to the manufacturing of explosives.
Probe says that the suspect was accused of spreading IS extremist principles.
