Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai Go the Extra Mile in Beat Diabetes Walk 2019

Hotel colleagues from the Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai participated the 11th edition of Beat Diabetes Walk in Dubai. The annual walkathon was held at Zabeel Park last 15th November 2019 and was organised by Landmark Group in conjunction with the Dubai Fitness Challenge 30x30 this year to raise awareness about diabetes. More than 20,000 residents took part in the walkathon to promote diabetes awareness and healthier lifestyle. The event was supported by Dubai Sports Council, Dubai Health Authority, Emirates Diabetes Society, Dubai Municipality Roads & Transport Authority and Dubai Police.

Mr. Simon Moore, General Manager of Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai said, "Beat Diabetes Walk is a superb initiative that draws attention to show how food and our daily lifestyle affects in the prevention and management of diabetes. Campaigns such as these give us an opportunity to work for the well-being of our community and we are very proud of our hotel colleagues who have volunteered to be part of this event."

Diabetes can be managed through the right care and a healthy diet. Advocating prevention and management of diabetes by following three simple steps – Eat Healthy, Get Active and Take the Test, the hugely successful 'Beat Diabetes Walk' is held every year in Dubai.
