Qatar- Indonesia Corner opens to boost economic promotion


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The embassy of Indonesia in Qatar recently launched the Indonesia Corner, a promotion booth located in the main lobby of Landmark Mall in Al Gharaffa, Doha.
Indonesian ambassador Mohamed Basri Sidehabi led the launch ceremony in the presence of Qatari businessmen and Indonesian expatriates, who hailed the move to promote Indonesia's tourism, trade and investment opportunities through brochures, books, product samples and videos, according to a statement.
Sidehabi said that after the staging of Indonesia Expo 2019, the first solo exhibition of Indonesian products in Qatar, the Indonesian embassy in Doha 'wants to keep the momentum going by continuously intensifying promotion of Indonesia, especially in the fields of trade, tourism and investment potential through direct engagement with the Qatari community.
In his opening remarks, the ambassador expressed confidence that relations between Qatar and Indonesia, especially in the economic field, would 'strengthen from time to time and expressed the hope that Indonesia Expo 2019 and the establishment of the Indonesia Corner 'could contribute to increasing the exchange of trade, tourist visits and investment between the two countries.
The Indonesia Corner is planned to last for at least three months, and is open every day from 10am to 10pm, except on Friday, when it will start at 4pm and run until 10pm.
The Indonesia Corner will also be enlivened with cultural performances.
