Tokyo shares increased on Friday as the market digested a positive lead from U.S. stocks increasing overnight, even thought moves were cautious over key U.S. November jobs data.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average increased 0.23 percent from Thursday to set at 23,354.40 points.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange increased 0.11 percent to set at 1,713.36 points.

Securities house, construction, and iron and steel issues were those that increased the most.
