(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: Nine fire-fighting centers from the Directorate- General of Fire-Fighting Services (DGFS) fought the flames when fire destroyed eight industrial plots measuring 10,000 square meters in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area at about 1:00 am Thursday, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Director of Public Relations and Media Information Department Brigadier Khalil Al-Amir said the fire caused significant material losses, saying so far there have been no casualties but the fire was being dealt with to prevent it spreading.
The Director-General of the DGFS Brigadier Khaled Al-Mekrad is closely following up the incident. He pointed out the fire occurred because of lack of security and safety conditions in the area, which was also the reason for the rapid spread of the fire.
