Qatar, Finland hold round of political consultations


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Helsinki: The State of Qatar and the Republic of Finland have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU)  to establish political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries. 

The first round of political consultations between the  Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Finland was held yesterday in the Finnish capital of Helsinki. The Qatari side was chaired by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H E Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, while the Finnish side was headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Foreign and Security Policy, Carrie Jurgen.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries as well as issues of mutual interest. 

Meanwhile, H E the Secretary-General met with Johanna Sumuvuori, State Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland, in the Finnish capital Helsinki. They reviewed bilateral cooperation relations, as well as issues of common interest.
