Qatar- Training for MoI officers on UN work concludes


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The first training course on the work of the United Nations, organised by the Ministry of Interior, concluded on Thursday with the participation of 15 officers from various concerned departments.

The course dealt with a number of topics related to the work and headquarters of the United Nations, the definition of its Charter and its conferences. 

The Adviser to the Minister of Interior Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousuf Al Mal and Chairman of the Follow-up Committee on the Implementation of the World Program for the Doha Declaration (issued by the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice 2015) said that the course comes within the training plans to upgrade the academic and training level of officers.

The Assistant Director of Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Ghiathin, stressed the importance of the course as it provides officers with the necessary information about the work of the United Nations, especially those related to the security functions of the Ministry, which qualifies them to participate in various committees and conferences of United Nations.
