Hijacking of Rabigh-III ends, vessel returns to business-owner - coalition


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, Nov 20 (KUNA) -- The Command of Joint Forces of Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Wednesday the hijacking of tugboat Rabigh-III has ended and that the vessel returned to its business owner, official media reported.
The coalition affirms continued efforts to maintain the security of sea navigation at Bab Al-Mandeb Strait and south of the Red Sea, Spokesman of the Coalition Colonel Turki Al-Maleki said in a press statement, according to Saudi Press Agency.
The Saudi Cabinet condemned on Tuesday the highjacking and armed robbery of Rabigh-III by terrorist elements of the Iran-backed Houthi militia, affirming that such acts reflect true threats and danger of this terrorist group on the freedom of navigation and international trade, and that it is a criminal precedent affecting the security of Bab Al-Mandeb Strait.
The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Monday that a tugboat has been highjacked and was subjected to arm robbery by the Houthi militia in southern Red Sea. (end)
