Morocco: police detain 1.625 tons of cannabis


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, 1.625 tons of cannabis in the suburbs of the northern city of Meknes was detained by the Moroccan police.


As said in a police statement, 2 people, aged 36 and 42, with suspected relations to a criminal drug smuggling network were detained through the operation.


The operation occurred in a store in the town of Boufekrane close to Meknes city and the police detained a car, an important amount of money and a lot of materials.
