Qatar- Ministry of Awqaf inaugurates Waqf project with 10 residential villas


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The General Directorate of Awqaf at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, yesterday, inaugurated a Waqf project with 10 residential villas in Hazm Al Markhiya area and with a value of QR12,380,000.

The ten villas have three floors each, totalling 60 bedrooms, in addition to an external extension and a housing guard, with an area of up to 1,225 square metres each.

The Director of the General Directorate of Awqaf , Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani, said that the inaugurated wqaf project is part of a series of awqaf projects, the Department is working to complete.  

He also pointed out the opening of Waqf buildings in Al Sadd area shortly before, and the completion of another project consisting of five Waqf buildings during the current year.

He pointed out that there is an endowment bank project for health care, which contributes to the treatment of patients with dialysis, in addition to ensuring the treatment of patients in private institutions such as the Qatar Diabetes Association and other associations, noting that the General Directorate of Awqaf also establishes cultural conferences and support scientific activities according to the activity of each endowment bank.
