Kuwait Floorball special team loses to Morocco in 1st regional Championship


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Special Olympic floorball team on Monday lost against the Moroccan team 0- 5, in the first regional Floorball Championship in Cairo, which determines qualifiers to the 2021 winter Special Olympics due in Sweden.
Despite the big loss, the Kuwaiti team showed much enthusiasm in the game, where the player of the match was the Kuwaiti goalkeeper, but the Moroccan team used their experience and skills to end the game to their advantage.
More efforts will be needed to prepare the Kuwaiti team in what is considered a new sport for them.
Speaking to KUNA, Kuwait's special Olympic team sports and training director Mostafa Al-Sayed said that the team was gathered only one week before the tournament of a sport that they have never played.
He pointed out that this is a new sport for the whole region. (end)
