(MENAFN- The Peninsula) QNAKuwait: Kuwait will host the third edition of the GCC Games in April 2020, President of Kuwait Olympic Committee, Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah announced.
The third GCC Games will include a total of 12 games namely football, volleyball, basketball, handball, swimming and athletics.
In addition, six other games for the multi-sporting event will be determined later, Kuwait Olympic Committee President said in a press statement. He explained that the tournament will be held from April 4 to 14 with the participation of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain, in addition to the host Kuwait.
He also stressed that the Kuwait Olympic Committee, in cooperation with Kuwait's General Authority for Sports will do its utmost to deliver a tournament that is worthy for the name of Kuwait.
