(MENAFN- NewsIn.Asia) November 17 (newsin.asia) - Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Sunday congratulated president-elect Gotabaya Rajapaksa over his victory at the presidential election.
In a message on his official twitter account president Solih said he looked forward to working with Sri Lanka's new admission to further the already closed and fraternal ties between Maldives and Sri Lanka.
Solih becomes the first international leader to congratulate Gotabaya over his victory in Saturday's polls.
