Morocco: 10 hooligans detained over violence led to death


(MENAFN) 10 hooligans were detained after the death of a football fan on Friday in the city of Sale near capital Rabat, as said on Saturday by the Moroccan police.


Moroccan Police said in a statement that, 10 people were detained by the anti-gang unit of the Judicial Police in Sale, as well as six minors, on suspicion of participation in the exchange of violence, and stone-throwing that caused the death.


The conflicts happened on Friday night involving fans of rival Sale Sport Association and the FAR club of Rabat in the suburbs of Sale; a judicial investigation is under way.
