Saudi- Secretary General of MWL Visits Utah and Meets with Government, Religious and Intellectual Leaders


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Utah, Nov. 16, 2019, SPA -- At an official invitation, Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Essa here today where he was received by Utah Governor Gary Herbert.
Herbert and Dr. Al-Essa discussed a prospect of cooperation and a range of issues of common interest, stressing the desire to cooperate to achieve common goals.
Dr. Al-Essa visited the Mormon Headquarters in Utah, where he met with the President and his assistants, where they reviewed ways of supporting bridging relations between followers of religions and cultures to promote peace and positive harmony among all.
Dr. Al-Essa met a number of editors and intellectuals where he briefed them on Makkah Document which was completed for the first time in Islamic history, a consensus between 27 denominations and sects like more than 1200 mufti and senior scholars of the Islamic world.
He also visited the University of Utah. He presented a lecture about the MWL's efforts, attended by University of Utah President Ruth V. Watkins, officials, faculty members, and students.
