Cyber Security Conference kicks off in Kuwait

(MENAFN) Kuwait launched on Wednesday the Second Gulf Cyber Security Conference to deal with cybercrimes.

At the opening ceremony, Khaled Al-Fadhel, the Kuwaiti minister of oil, electricity and water, said that cybercrimes and dangers have turned into a major concern for many countries of the world.

New and advanced modes of hacking appear every day, thus they must be dealt with utmost seriousness, he said, noting that the Kuwaiti government has dedicated maximum consideration to this issue.

A full-scale national scheme for cyber security has been adopted due to its grave hazards to security of the homeland and the citizens, he said.
