Qatar Meteorology Department expects strong wind this weekend


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: In its weekend report, Qatar Meteorology Department warned of strong wind with high sea offshore for tomorrow and the day after. 

On Thursday, the department expects slight dust and scattered clouds with a chance of rain accompanied by thunder in the North of the country at times. The wind would be northeasterly-northwesterly reaching up to 20KT at places by midday inshore. 

There are chances that sea height could rise to 5ft inshore and reach up to 8ft at times offshore. 

For Friday, the weather department expects the temperature to vary between 27 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius. A relatively hot day with blowing dust and some clouds are expected. There will be northwesterly-northerly wind gusting up to 22Kt at places at times. Visibility will be 4-8km with it reducing up to 2km or less at places during the early morning. 

Meanwhile, on Saturday, November 2, strong wind is expected with the high sea at north offshore. The minimum and maximum temperature will be 26 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius. Another relatively hot day with slight dust is predicted with visibility varying between 4 and 8km. The sea height on Saturday is expected to be between 2 and 4ft, reaching up to 7ft in North.
