Qatar takes part in two Health Ministers' meetings in Muscat


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The fifth meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Committee, as well as the 82nd meeting of the 44th session of the GCC Health Ministers Council, were held yesterday, with the participation of Minister of Public Health H E Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari.
H E Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari emphasised the importance of the subjects discussed in the two meetings. while thanking the Sultanate of Oman and H E Omani Minister of Health Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi for the good organization and hosting of the events.
The fifth meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Committee discussed many important issues, most notably the decisions of the Supreme Council on a number of health issues in addition to the smart card health file, medications, medical devices and supplies that are exempted from additional taxes, health cities, unified classification and registration procedures for medical specializations, and the allocation of a daily sports class in schools in the GCC countries.
The 82nd meeting of the GCC Health Ministers council discussed important issues, such as draft decisions on the unified purchase, central registration, expatriates check-up, and technical committees, in addition to the strategic plan of 2020-2022.
