(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) KABUL -The price of gold has increased while that of other items remains steady duringthe outgoing week in capital Kabul, market sources said Saturday.
HajiFawad Ahmad Salehzada, a jeweler in Timor Shahee area of Kabul, told PajhwokAfghan News that the price of one gram of Arabian gold was increased from 2,950Afghanis to 3,000 Afghanis and the same quantity of Russian variety from2,400afs to 2,500afs.
However,the prices of food items remain stable.
In fooditems, the price of flour increased.
MohammadSamim, a wholesaler in Kabul's Mandavi Market, said the price of 49 kilogramsof Kazakhstani flour was increased 1,580afs, a tin of 16 liters of Khurshidghee 1,160afs, 49kg of Pakistani sugar cost 1,950afs, 24kg of Pakistani rice2,200afs, one-kg of Indonesian green tea for 300afs and the same amount ofblack African tea for 320afs, the same rates of last week's.
AhmadMustafa, who owns a grocery store in Taimani area of Kabul, sold a 50-kg sackof Kazakhstani flour for 1,620afs, a 49-kg bag of sugar for 2,000afs, 24-kg ofPakistani rice 2,500afs a 16-litre tin of ghee for 1,200afs, one-kg ofIndonesian green tea for 320afs and the same amount of black African tea for360afs—higher than wholesale rates.
Theprices of fuel also remain unchanged.
MohammadAkram, a liquefied gas seller in Taimani area of Kabul city, said that theprice of a kilogram of the commodity was 50afs.
AbdulHadi, a worker at Wazirabad Fuel Station in Kabul said that the price of aliter of petrol was 52afs and the same quantity of diesel 48afs.
Haji MirHussian Sadaqat, a moneychanger at the Money Exchange Service inSara-i-Shahzada, said one US dollar was accounted for 78.30afs and 1,000Pakistani rupees for 500afs.
OnOctober 12, one US dollar was accounted for 78.15afs and 1,000 Pakistani rupees500afs. (Pajhwok)
