Budget for Nigeria's crude oil price boost presented


(MENAFN) Looking to achieve a hike in the benchmark price of crude oil, the Nigerian government introduced a fresh budget.

Under the new budget, crude oil benchmark price would reach USD57 per barrel compared to the current USD55 per barrel.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari showcased the national expenditure bill for 2020 during the joint session of the National Assembly, where the budget was presented.

President Buhari pointed out that the income of the increment is planned to be using towards payments of wages and emolument of the offered 30,000 recruitment of 30,000 personnel in the police, army, immigration, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
