Saudi Customs Participates in FIATA 2019, Reviews Its Steps in Facilitating World Trade


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, Oct. 02, 2019, SPA -- Saudi Customs department participated in the exhibition and conference of International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) 2019, which was opened yesterday in Cape Town, South Africa, and will last for five days.
The Saudi Customs' participation in this international event organized by FIATA came as a diamond sponsor with a pavilion in the exhibition accompanying the conference. Saudi Customs' participation in FIATA also confirms its role to strengthen the logistics sector in the Kingdom through its customs services being provided, and in its endeavors to support everything that would fulfill its vision of becoming a global logistics platform.
Saudi Customs' delegation to the exhibition and conference of FIATA was headed by its Governor Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Haqbani.
He delivered a speech during which he reviewed the stage of qualitative transformation being witnessed by the Kingdom supported by the ambitious initiatives and plans of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, citing the main role of the Saudi Customs in promoting this path through its adopted strategy of transformationto be regionally the best in the provision of customs services, thus enhancing the objectives of the Kingdom's vision to become a global platform for logistics services and raise economic competitiveness.
