5 percent jump in Azerbaijani exports


(MENAFN) Azerbaijan exported USD13.5 billion worth of commodities during eth first eight months of 2019, marking a USD633 million or 5 percent boost on annual basis.

Department Head of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Ramil Huseyn revealed non-oil exports to have surged by 17 percent to stand at USD1.277 billion during the January-August period.

"It is expected that it will be possible to maintain the export pace of non-oil products till the end of 2019, and its value will amount to $2 billion," the official affirmed.

Huseyn further added that non-oil exports recorded a 15 percent surge in August to reach USD144.4 million compared to the same month in 2018.
