(MENAFN) As said on Tuesday by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Myanmar and India have promised to collaborate in border security and drug control.
At their 24th meeting of officials of the two countries at the regional level done in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday, the two sides also had deliberations on border management and held people from the two countries also drafting of a memorandum of understanding on wildlife trade and anti-human trafficking and capacity increasing matters.
The Indian side was represented by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Shri Satyendra Garg and the 24th meeting was represented by Director-General of the Office of the Ministry of Home Affairs U Khaing Tun Oo from the Myanmar side.
In Myanmar and India since 1994, the local level meetings of border officials of the two countries have been held alternatively.
