2 cases of Zika virus detected in Israel

Israeli Health Ministry and Environmental Protection Ministry said on Sunday that 2 Israelis were diagnosed with Zika Virus.

The ministries said that the two residents caught the virus during their stay in Thailand, they were given specific instructions for conduct immediately upon diagnosis.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection has also told Tel Aviv's municipality and a local council in the Sharon region where the two patients lived to perform pest control and observe any potential infection.
