(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: A couple and their two minor children were killed while their driver was injured in a tragic road in Tangi Tehsil of district Charssada on Sunday.
According to correspondent TNN, the accident occurred due overspeeding due to which the vehicle fell into a canal in which Qamar, a resident of Ekka Ghund in Mohmand, his wife and their two children were killed. It was added that the family was going to a relative's house when they met the tragic accident.
Local people said that due to high speed, the driver of the vehicle lost controlled over the vehicle and it fell into a canal. After hearing of the accident, people rushed to toward the spot of the accident and evacuated victims and the vehicle. Despite heard efforts, they could only recover the driver alive who was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Tangi for treatment.
The dead bodies of the couple and their children were shifted to hospital for medical and legal procedures where doctors confirmed the death of Qamar his wife Hafsa Bibi, their two sons identified as Bilal and Mohammad. Their driver identified as Salih Muhammad was injured in the accident.
Three killed in road accident in Kohat
KOHAT: At least three persons were killed while a number of others injured in road accident near Kacha Paka area on Sunday. The accident occurs in Hangu-Kohat road, as a result, a number of casualties were reported.
The police sources said that the victims are Afghan refugees whose vehicle was the part of a wedding procession. The local people informed that the vehicle overturned due to over speeding while negotiating a sharp turn. The dead bodies were shifted to Kohat Divisional Headquarters and Liaquat Memorial Women's and Children Hospitals for medical legal procedures.
Police have said that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
