Sri Lanka- Dilrukshi drops a bomb, says Minister involved

(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Solicitor General and former Director General of the Bribery Commission Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe today claimed that a Minister was involved in establishing contact between her and Avant-Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi.

In a leaked recording of a telephone conversation released yesterday Wickremasinghe is heard expressing regret over the action taken on Avant-Garde.

She said that had she known several people will lose their jobs she would not have taken legal action.

The female voice is also heard saying 'I know how to break the law and make the law'.

In a message on her Facebook today, Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe said that as a public officer she is not permitted to make public or press statements.

However she urged Nishshanka Senadhipathi publish the entire telephone conversation without editing, doctoring and distorting the contents.

She also urged him to disclose to the public the name of a Minister to whose telephone he called and the reasons why the said Minister passed the telephone to her. (Colombo Gazette)
