(MENAFN) On Saturday, the Iraqi anti-terror Service (CTS), supported by U.S.-led coalition fighter jet conducted a large-scale operation in the central Salahudin province, murder three Daesh terrorists and completely damaged many hideouts.
The CTS operation was carried out in the mountains of Makhoul and Khanouga and the areas between the towns of Baiji and al-Shirqat in the northern part of the province, Mohammed al-Bazi from the provincial police informed Xinhua.
Al-Bazi stated that during the raid the CTS forces murdered at least three Daesh terrorists and completely damaged scores of Daesh tunnels and hideouts, in addition to confiscating several weapons and ammunition.
Iraqi security forces repeatedly conducted raids to clear rugged and mountainous areas in eastern and northern parts of Salahudin province, but the huge areas and hard terrain have made it hard for them to totally clear the area of the extremist terrorists.
