Kuwait win 8 more medals at West Asia Paralympic Games


(MENAFN- Arab Times) AMMAN, Sept 21, (KUNA): Kuwaiti athletes won eight medals at the 2nd West Asian Paralympic Games, currently held in Jordan, to raise tally of medals to 23.
Abdullah Al-Saleh, Dhari Buti and Bassema Najem won three gold medals in shot put competitions, while Hamad Hajji and Faisal Suror won two silver medals in the same event. Yasser Al-Musallam won a bronze.
Abdullah Ali Al-Enezi and Abdullah Ahmad Al-Enezi won bronze medals in the 400m race.
Meanwhile, Kuwait wheelchair basketball team advanced to the final game after beating Oman 56-33, and will be playing against Iraq for the Gold tomorrow.
A total of 700 athletes from Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Oman, Qatar, Yemen, UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia are competing in the championship.
