An Iraqi Interior Ministry official said that 5 people died and 8 others were wounded on Friday as a bomb blew up inside a car in Karbala in Iraq.
The explosion happened in the evening as a bomb exploded inside a vehicle transporting passengers near the security checkpoint at Karbala main entrance, around 110 km to the south of Baghdad.
The security forces have sealed off the scene and an investigation was opened in the case.
The media office of the Iraqi Joint Operation Command (JOC) said in statement that a bomb planted in a bus transporting passengers exploded near a checkpoint at Karbala entrance.
