Brazilian exports to Egypt reached $1.3bn in the first 8 months of 2019 while its imports from Egypt stood at $196.9m in the same period, the statement clarified.
Brazilian exports of poultry and meat to Egypt reached $56.35m, about 42,570 tonnes and $346.06m, about 119,340 tonnes respectively, the statement explained, adding that the Brazilian trade balance with Egypt during the same period of the year amounted to $1.1bn
Additionally, Brazil's food exports to Arab countries represents 11% of the total Arab imports, head of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) Ibrahim Al-Arabi said on 15 September at the Egyptian-Brazilian Business Forum organised by the FEDCOC.
