(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) TAIZ, 20th September 2019 (WAM) -- The UAE has provided, through its humanitarian arm the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, 12 tonnes of food supplements to hospitals in the Yemeni Governorate of Taiz.
The food supplements were delivered to the Public Health Office, PHO, in Taiz as part of the UAE's ongoing efforts to help Yemeni children and mothers suffering from severe malnutrition at the hospitals in Taiz.
Dr. Ali Saeed, Deputy Director of the PHO in Al Muzzafar district of Taiz, said the food supplements will assist the hospitals to cater to the mothers and children suffering from various health problems, including malnutrition.
Patients at the hospitals in Taiz expressed their appreciation for the UAE's humanitarian stances.
