Meetings of 2 influential int'l judicial associations in Kazakhstan (PHOTO)

For the first time in the world history, on Sept. 15-17, at the invitation of Kazakhstan, plenary meetings of two influential international organizations were held in Nur Sultan city - the 62nd plenary meeting of the International Association of Judges and the 14th plenary meeting of the International Association for Court Administration,Trendreports.

At the same time, a regular meeting of the European Association of Judges was organized.

During the meetings, a wide discussion was held on the independence of courts and judges in member states, the effectiveness of the implementation of justice and other topics, and reports from different countries were also read out.

President of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice of the Council of Europe (CEPEJ), our compatriot Ramin Gurbanov, spoke at meetings at the invitation of President of the International Association of Judges Tony Pagone (Australia) and President of the European Association of Judges Jose Igreja Matos (Portugal).

He informed the participants about the situation in the field of justice in Europe, about the events held in the member states - in Switzerland, Russia, Slovenia, Malta, France, Montenegro, Albania and Spain.

Azerbaijan at these events was represented by Chairman of the Association of Judges of Azerbaijan Aladdin Jafarov and Judge of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan Sanan Hajiyev.
