Pakistan- Bodies of boy, girl recovered in Peshawar


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: The bodies of a boy and a girl were recovered from a house in New City Home area of Peshawar on Friday.

Police said it received information about two bodies in the limits of Chamkani Police Station. The deceased girl was a dental college student, while the boy was an engineer. Police said both died under mysterious circumstances.


Police sent the bodies of the boy and girl to hospital for post mortem. It said evidences have been collected from the scene to ascertain the real reasons behind the deaths. Police are investigating the incident from various angles.

Sources said the house where the deaths occurred was hired by the engineer as temporary residence. Police said both the bodies were recovered from inside a car in the house and some medicines have also been recovered from the car.


Health official kidnapped form Bajaur

A health official was kidnapped by unknown armed men in Nawagai area of Bajaur tribal district on Thursday.

Local sources said Jabbar, focal person for polio vaccination and technician at the basic health unit (BHU) in Charmang, was in his clinic on Thursday evening when unidentified armed men barged into the clinic and kidnapped him on gunpoint. Jabbar was saving as a technician in the Charmang BHU and he also used to live there.

The kidnapping of a health official in Bajaur happened few days after kidnapping of Dr Noor Hanan from Wana, South Waziristan by unknown airmen men.

Dr Noor Hanan was abducted on September 11 when five armed men entered TB Hospital in Wana and took him away forcibly after locking the hospital staff in a room.

Doctors of government and private hospitals in South Waziristan staged protests and boycotted their duties against kidnapping of the doctor and failure of the authorities to recover him. The kidnapped doctor could not be recovered so far.

On April 24, Muhammad Riaz, an Additional Collector of Inland Revenue, was abducted on gunpoint by unidentified armed men from his home town in Tank along with three relatives and a guest from their Hujra. On July 19, they were recovered from South Waziristan after four months.
