Kuwaiti MP: solutions for regional problems through people's diplomacy


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti parliamentarian, on Thursday, said that solutions to regional problems should might come through "people's" diplomacy.
This came during a statement to KUNA by Kuwaiti National Assembly MP Dr. Awdah Al-Ruwai'e who took part in the 26th executive committee meeting of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIU) held in Amman with the participation of 20 countries.
The Kuwaiti MP said that people's diplomacy could be more flexible and direct in addressing the common woes and finding solutions to regional dilemmas.
On the committee's meeting, MP Al-Ruwai'e said that meeting touched on various issues including the Palestinian cause and ways to support it, the recent attack heinous attack against Saudi oil facilities, and other issues of paramount importance.
At the conclusion of the meeting, draft papers and proposals were forwarded to the 30th meeting for the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIU) scheduled in Abu Dhabi in March 2020.
Other items concerning the developments in the occupied Palestine territories, the budget and more were also forwarded to the meeting. (end)
