Jordan- Prince El Hassan attends launching of sectoral studies results


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept. 19 (Petra)-- HRH Prince El Hassan Bin Talal, Chairman of the Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST), attended the launching ceremony of results of the sectoral studies conducted by the National Center for Human Resources Development (NCHRD).
The NCHRD has conducted three studies to be used to guide policies related to education, capacity building, and support employment and training programs in the pharmaceutical, chemical, plastic, rubber, and jewelry sectors.
In his speech at the ceremony that was attended by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, Prince El Hassan stressed the importance of enhancing effective participation between sectors.
He pointed out the importance of characterizing and classifying occupations to bring the description stage closer to the overall view stage to achieve creativity and excellence.
He underlined the importance of the integrated analysis of the context, through an analytical and advisory tool that helps in highlighting the external areas, in which different strategies and programs can be implemented, stressing the need to networking with all segments of society to promote human dignity.
The prime minister stressed the importance of using the study in decision-making, and the importance of publishing its results on jobs platforms as an important reference for delivering information to students and parents about the labor market's needs.
Razzaz pointed out to the importance of productive sectors investments in training, and the partnership between the public and private sectors to stimulate a larger segment of young men and women to work in sectors that the labor market needs.
NCHRD President Yousef Ababneh highlighted studies' main findings, which include the gap between the supply and demand, the qualitative gap and how to reduce these gaps, in addition to general conclusions and the future plan for the years 2020 to 2022.
