Indian businesswomen, JCC talk trade ties


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — The Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), in cooperation with the Business and Professional Women Association-Amman, on Wednesday organised a meeting with a delegation of 62 women business owners from India and discussed means to enhance commercial exchange between the two countries.

During the meeting with the members of the delegation, headed by President of the Women's Association of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Harjinder Kaur Talwar, JCC First Deputy President Jamal Rifai highlighted the importance of exchanging visits to get acquainted with economic opportunities available in both countries.

Rifai referred to the strategic geographical location of the Kingdom for accessing neighbouring markets, such as Syria and Iraq, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Talwar said that the number of women business owners in India has witnessed a remarkable increase over the past few years.
