Seven persons rescued off Oman coasts

The ROP's Coast Guard Unit in Muscat and South Batinah governorates rescued seven persons after receiving distress calls.

In Muscat, the Coast Guard Unit provided assistance to two fishing boats after they broke down. The boats had three persons on board.

In South Batinah, four persons were rescued after the Coast Guard Unit received a distress call from the crew of a boat that had collided with another boat near Al Shars area off the coast of Mussanah.

 


Three persons held for violations
The Coast Guard Unit in South Sharqiyah seized a fishing boat carrying three persons for violating labour and fishing laws. Legal procedures have been initiated against them.
