USD7.7b foreign investment projects sealed by Shanghai


(MENAFN) Shanghai, located on China"s central coast, was announced to have signed an overall of 42 initiatives on foreign investment valued at USD7.7 billion.

Looking to achieve expansion in its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Shanghai, Cargill will be generating USD100 million.

China maintains its status as a place "where we have the greatest growth opportunity," as affirmed president of Asia Pacific for Cargill Robert Aspell.

Aspell pointed out that Cargill's diverse international portfolio of supply chain management is in need of "an open and transparent trade environment such as the one fostered here in Shanghai."

Meanwhile, BASF, a Germany company, confirmed that it was allocating some investment in order to establish a global trading firm within the Yangshan Free Trade Port Area of Shanghai Free Trade Zone.
