(MENAFN) Moroccan police said in a statement that, Moroccan authorities on Tuesday detained a Danish man for firearm possession, as he is wanted by his country.
The statement said that, the 23-year-old man of Somali origin was under arrest in the northern city of Tangier, he also has been on the Interpol database under a global arrest warrant issued in May by the Danish authorities.
The statement said that, the suspect was remanded in custody to continue the investigation, until the decision on his extradition is made.
The statement also said that, this process is part of the efforts to strengthen global security collaboration mechanisms in the fight against cross-border crimes.
