Thailand edges out Kuwait in Asian volleyball championship


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's national volleyball team lost a tightly contested encounter against Thailand on Tuesday at the ongoing 2019 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship.
The Thais got the better of the Kuwaitis in the first half with a 26-25 win, only for "The Blue" to bounce back with a 24-21 victory in the second half, while a decisive third round went in favor of Thailand, who took home a commanding lead of 25-16.
The Kuwaiti team's coach, Nawaf Bajiya, wished his side the best of luck in their remaining matches, ahead of a battle against Hong Kong on Wednesday.
Kuwait lost its last three matches in a group that also features Indonesia, South Korea and Pakistan. (end)
