SIXT, Moosa Group join hands to offer premium mobility services in Oman

Moosa Abdul Rahman Hassan & Co (MARH) Group on Monday announced that it has signed a franchise agreement with Germany-based international mobility service provider SIXT for offering their premium services in Oman.

SIXT is one of the largest car rental companies in the world with a fleet of 270,000 cars, in around 110 countries.

While announcing the tie up at an event at Hormuz Grand, Muscat, Mustansir Lakdawala, CEO of MARH, said, 'We are delighted to have been appointed as the franchisee for SIXT in Oman. This is indicative of the company's vision and the direction we are heading in. It is an achievement of immense pride.'

Following the agreement, SIXT will offer extensive mobility solutions in short and long-term rentals and leasing in Oman market. It will cover mobility needs by providing leasing options tailor-made for every customer. Customers will be able to choose from a premium fleet of Sedans and SUVs. The company also has plans for further expansion of the network to four new branches as well as to improve its presence at the airports and hotels.

'We will also be able to expand our client portfolio based on premium services and competitive pricing with the support of a globally established brand as SIXT. We are proud of this partnership and look forward to jointly extending our market share in Oman,' Lakdawala said.

The new partnership will manage the rental and leasing business in Oman as Moosa Car Rentals will be receiving inbound reservations from all around the world as well as generating outbound reservations for the existing and new customers within Oman.

'The agreement is part of the Moosa Group's expansion strategy to achieve sustainable growth and future success,' Lakdawala added.

Speaking about the business prospects after the tie up with SIXT, Lakdawala said they are going to expand their services across the country and plans to take their fleet size to 1,000 cars from the current 400 cars. 'This tie up will help us in getting lots of short-term booking from inbound tourists, particularly from Germany, which accounts for a significant part of inbound tourists in the country.'

'In the premium segment, we are expecting more bookings from the government side as authorities are now taking more vehicles on rental basis rather than going for upfront purchases,' Lakdawala said.
