Plane collide in Brazilian jungle


(MENAFN) Local authorities said on Monday that, ten people were wounded in a plane collide in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest district.


The single-engine Cessna stopped in a forest area with difficult access nearly after taking off from Manaus, the capital of Amazonas state in northern Brazil.


Brazilian Air Force's helicopters carrying members from local fire department help place the crashed plane and save the wounded, all people aboard the small plane were rescued alive and transported to close hospitals.


The passengers of the plane were allegedly Amazonas state staff.


According to airport infrastructure company Infraero, the Manaus airport was closed for over an hour after the collide took place, and many flights had to be re-routed.
