Namibia: road accidents kill 23

(MENAFN) As many as 23 people in Namibia have been killed as a result of several road accidents this weekend, Namibian Police Force (Nampol) emphasized on Sunday.

A huge number of the accidents took place on the nation's major highways, including public transport roads.

Namibian Police spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi stated that the reasons behind the growing fatalities in road accidents are human error and reckless driving.

She affirmed, "We are very concerned with the number of road accidents in this weekend despite trying our best to make sure that drivers adhere to road regulations. We would like to urge road users to practice caution on the roads for the safety of travellers".
