38 percent reduction in Pakistani trade deficit


(MENAFN) Trade deficit in Pakistan shrunk 38 percent during the first couple of months of this fiscal year, as the country imposes measures to reduce its deficit.

Pakistan, as Prime Minister Imran Khan revealed, is planning to achieve the target through hikes in exports as well as tax collection.

During talks with his economic team, the prime minister confirmed the country to have enjoyed better performance in its exports, tax collection, tax net and trend in trade businesses.

Khan further announced steps for the formation of a clear and time-based roadmap to assess the achievement of the quarterly targets.
