Sri Lanka- UNF says talks with Sajith successful


(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) The United National Front (UNF) says talks held with United National Party (UNP) Deputy Leader and Presidential hopeful Sajith Premadasa last night (Saturday) were successful.

UNF member and Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) leader Mano Ganesan said that the meeting held at Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera's residence concluded progressively.

He said that several important decisions were reached including not to drag the issue on the UNF Presidential candidate.

"UNF partners will not speak on other decisions in public until the conclusion of Sajith Premadasa team's meeting with the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) today," he said.

UNF members Champika Ranawaka (JHU), Mano Ganesan, Palani Thigambaram (TPA), Rauf Hakeem, Nizam Kariyappar (SLMC), Rishad Badurdeen (ACMC), Sajith Premadasa, Mangala Samaraweera, Malik Samarawickarma, Kabir Hashim and Eran Wickramaratna (UNP) attended the talks.
