Turkish province to enjoy flourishing cruise tourism


(MENAFN) Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism suggested that Ordu province is expected to witness a reinforce performance in its cruise tourism.

Reports confirmed that the ministry hailed the province in north-western Turkey for the massive potential in its tourism sector, especially when it comes to cruises.

According to the ministry, "the development of cruise tourism will positively affect the development of the province as a whole."

Ordu welcomed 2019, 5,300 foreign tourists from January to July 2019, amounting for 0.02 percent of overall tourism arrivals in Turkey.

The ministry added "in January-July 2019, 1,200 tourists arrived in Ordu province by sea, which makes 2.6 percent of the total number of tourists visiting this province for the reporting period."
