Landslides kill 6 in Nepal

Local police said on Saturday that 6 people died in landslides caused but a strong rainfall that buried 2 houses in western Nepal district of Rolpa.

Rolpa district police chief, Chitra Bahadur Gurung, said that all of the decreased were buried under the landslide debris.

He was quoted saying that "The deceased were asleep when a local road fell on the houses and swept them away".

Rescue operations were carried out by authorities in collaboration with police and local residents.
