5.4 earthquake jolts Alaska

U.S. Geological Survey said that a 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck Akutan area in Alaska around 13:25 GMT on Satruday.

The epicenter had a depth of 73.06 km and was at 53.9819 degrees north latitude and 165.9177 degrees west longitude.

Akutan Island falls in the middle of the Aleutian Islands chain to the south of Alaska.
